It was another one of those years when I had planned to make Halloween costumes for the kids and for one reason or another, we had to run out almost last minute and buy some pre-made. This year Anna wanted to be Dorothy, Lauren picked an FBI agent vest and accessories, and Jacob wanted to be a "Doast" or ghost for those of you who don't speak "Jacob". We also picked up a Thomas the Tank Engine, as a backup. In the store when I asked Jacob if he would be fine with a Thomas costume, he replied, "I be fine with dat." Unfortunately, however, as soon as we left the store, he started to ask, "Where's my doast dostume?" We started out with the ghost costume but it just wasn't working out, so we ended up "trick-a-ma treating" as a train instead. Jacob was so cute as he went up to each door and said, "Trick-a-ma-treat, dank dou, and Happy Halloween!" He filled his bucket and began to run out of gas. He was so tired, he was swaying from side to side. Anna got so much candy, the strap on her bag broke. One house saw that Lauren was an FBI agent, and asked if she was there because they'd done something wrong!

I LOVE how you recorded exactly the way Jacob speaks. What a sweetie! Love the FBI costume too- so clever I might have to borrow it one of these years. :) Great group picture of all of your kids!
