This weekend Anna finally performed in the Sacramento Ballet Nutcracker. She had a show on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. We all attended the Saturday night show and then I worked backstage on Sunday. It was fun to get to see the kids close-up in their costumes.
Backstage is a busy, busy place.
I feel like I'm so far behind all of the technological advances of the day. I don't have a fancy phone. I've never texted nor tweeted. My parents have more stuff than we do! Another thing I was unaware of is the popularity of the DS. To be honest, I didn't even know what they were until this weekend. At least half of the kids there had one. It was funny to see everyone dressed as they were walking around with video games.
We had such a busy weekend. The grandparents came and we had a fabulous time. Pictures to follow. On the way home Anna just couldn't hold out. In her defense, she had been up since the grandparents left that morning at 0400. She had promised her Granny that she wouldn't cry when they left but Saturday afternoon she started saying, "I just don't know if I can keep my promise Granny." :( It's hard to only get to see your loved ones a few times a year. We're already looking forward to our next visit with them, whenever that might be. With the passing of the weekend, our calendar is finally getting a break. It's nice to look at the week ahead and have nothing scheduled. Maybe we can pencil in some hot chocolate and a showing of "White Christmas".

We had a great visit and we are so proud of our short, fun filled, busy weekend...It was just perfect.
Our babies are growing up so fast. I am afraid to blink in fear of missing something. Thanks to all of you for a wonderful time in CA.
Love, Granny & PawPaw
Looks like a great production! :) Love the pictures and glad you got to visit with family.
We are so proud of you Anna. You are growing up to be a sweet and lovely young girl. Poppy and Nana miss all of you so much.
Great costumes. Surely great performance. Congratulations.
