About Me

Hi There!
My name is Sandy and I'm happy you've found our little family blog.  We're a retired military family living in northern California.  I love to travel, craft and create, throw parties, and take pictures.  We are the proud parents of five children and one beautiful granddaughter.  Even though I didn't give birth to our two oldest, I love them like I did!  Tyler, our oldest is a pilot in the southeast.  He's just a natural and reminds me so much of his dad.  Our daughter Alaina is a member of the U.S. Army.  She, her husband, and our sweet Skylar are currently serving back in the states and we're so proud.  Our peanut gallery consists of Anna, Lauren, and Jacob.  Anna is a complete girly-girl and loves princesses, chocolate, tiaras, and drama.  Lauren is all about soccer, bugs, animals, drawing, and archery.  Jacob is our busy child and has forced me to learn a new set of life-survival skills. He is so inquisitive and smart, which means he takes apart everything and frequently manages to get out of the house in spite of multiple child latches and deadbolts!  Ha!  He loves Thomas the Train, dancing, and milk!

I created this blog to keep our family up-to-date with our daily lives but it has also become a way for me to capture our memories.  Life moves fast.  If you don't stop to look around every once in a while, you might miss it!

I stumbled across your blog while I was searching for a circus motif for our son's playroom. The room does not have a light in the middle of the room, just a hook... and I have been trying to figure out how to make the top look like a circus tent. Did you make the hanging decoration? I would be interested in purchasing it if it is something you still have and do not need any more... or I would love some tips on how to make this. Do you have an etsy page? Thanks!
